About Us

Vision and Philosophy

Our vision is to help colleagues to enjoy life after policing, making the successful transition from their policing career to the next stage of their working lives.

Our aim is to share our own learning, knowledge and experiences, having successfully made the leap from policing to the ‘outside world’, to assist other colleagues in taking their next steps with more confidence and clarity. We are creating a large community of former policing members where the sharing of this knowledge and experience creates a thriving community for others to benefit.

Our profiles

Mark Corder

Mark Corder is a former police officer, having had a varied 18yr career in a number of roles and locations. Mark left the police voluntarily in 2012 and has since worked on some short-term contracts and now works for himself in business.

The owner of www.markcorderltd.co.uk, Mark designs and delivers leadership and management training as well as offering coaching and mentoring services.

During the past 6 years, Mark has also worked with and helped other police officers who are leaving or have left the police, by delivering workshops and providing other support services.

“It’s often the case that those who spend most their working life in the police service fear the step out into the unknown because they believe their skills and experience are not in demand. It’s certainly not the case if you know how and where to look and how to sell yourself.

Rob Hoblin

Rob Hoblin is a former police officer who served in a national force for over 30 years. He worked in various departments at headquarters and operationally at various levels of rank.

During his police career, he qualified as a trainer and coach and now dedicates his working life to delivering leadership and management training in the UK and overseas. He is an associate trainer with the College of Policing and a fellow with the Chartered Management Institute.

Since leaving the police service, Rob has worked in various roles including training delivery, operational management and coaching. He is currently focusing on Emotional Intelligence as part of his leadership training delivery and is working across many different sectors.

“What I have learned since leaving policing is that all our skills are readily transferable into most customer facing roles, irrespective of what industry we end up working in. The biggest mistake I made was attending numerous monthly networking events and only meeting others who wanted to sell their products or services to me. If you have your own business, you need to know who your target audience is and find out where they hang out.”
